At approximately 0100 on 27/01/2026 a tree fell across our incoming fibre. Conseqently we have no connectivity, both phone and internet. We can only wait for restoration of our fibre.
Update- We were informed that an Openreach engineer would attend between 1300 and 1800 on 28/01/2026 to effect repairs, sadly nobody attended. We await further news.
On the morning of 30/03/2026 we received a message from our supplier, Wizards Ltd., informing us that Openreach say we will not be reconnected until 10/03/2026, which will mean we will be cut off for a further 6 weeks!
Saturday 31/01/2026- We have sourced some USB WiFi dongles, despite a very poor quality mobile signal we hope to be able to check (and reply to) emails on Monday. Whether there will be sufficient bandwidth to do much more we will find out on Monday
Our broadband supplier is investigating the possibility that they can setup Starlink as a fallback option, if they can we should have reasonable connectivity until our proper service is restored
